In today?s personalised digital world, a brand needs to have the superpower to find the right balance between not being intrusive and yet being able to give the required information to the users.

MakeMyTrip is a great example, and I love how they communicate across channels like Whatsapp, Email, etc., without making you feel intrusive at any point. If you think about platforms like Whatsapp as a communication channel, a brand?s message might pop up between your chat with your wife and your father. To double it up, imagine what if it is an unsolicited promotional message! How would the user react to this, and what perception does it create in their mind? Hence, it is imperative for brands to be highly cautious of the when, why, how and what of their communication in the new personalised digital world.

In addition to the above, the other supercritical aspect is the tonality of communication. Understanding who your audience is and where you communicate with them is crucial. To be effective, your communication needs to be purposeful, tailored and relevant to each platform and not one size fits all.

Superpowers?

We have an idea. It is not a power ring, nor does it shoot laser from its eyes. We call it x-ray vision. It lets you see if your customers are happy or disappointed, if they are loyal to your brand or if they would like to move on with another option. The DMAasia Brand Trail is a new concept introduced to the marketing community. A unique representation of insights from a variety of industries, ranging from eCommerce and financial services to food and property.

The DMAasia Brand Trail for CX Superpowers was held in Mumbai & Gurugram on 10th Nov and 17th Nov. It was an interactive session which has garnered industry-wide participation from over 40 CxOs in attendance.

We started with a simple objective: collectively finding what it will take to win in 2023 and how brands can grow at scale.
